Filters are certified on an instrument which has been referenced to the latest US National Institute of Standards and Technology primary reference material SRM 2930 Optiglass has launched a significant extension to its range of Starna neutral density filters, for UV-vis spectrophotometer calibration in the visible region. Neutral density filters have played a vital role in validating the absorbance scale and linearity of spectrophotometers for over 30 years.
However, until now traceability to a Nist primary SRM has been limited to the 0.3-2.0 absorbance range.
